A performance-based choreography project for adults, led by Michelle Cahill
Dance Waves (2011) choreography and performance project for adults in the county of Laois 2011. This was a follow-on performance project for adults who had participated in the Foundation Course for Dance, 2010. Over the course of twelve weeks, a groups of us met, and devised an original work based on the permanent roadside art work The Race of the Black Pig, by Dan George, situated on the M7 roadway near Kildare Town. I had passed the work on my way to teach the foundation course the previous year. We created a piece called “The Other Side of Where” . The piece was programmed as part of the Midlands Dance Symposium, December 2011, at the Dunamaise Arts Centre, organised by the Dunamaise Dance Artist in Residence, Cathy Coughlan.
