For the next 12 months, I will be participating on the ELEVATOR programme, a new Resource Sharing initiative with Irish Theatre Institute in association with Town Hall Theatre Galway. This East/West partnership is funded by the Arts Council. The programme provides mentoring, strategic planning, exchange and training opportunities for emerging Producers and it is supported by administrative and infrastructural resources in two Producer Hubs, one located in Dublin and one in Galway. I’m looking forward to everything the Elevator programme has to offer in terms of up-skilling in key areas of producing, networking and collaboration. Essentially it’s a concession to leave the kitchen table and take a place with the grown-ups in a shared office space, with access to a wide range of resources. The cross-country partnership between Dublin and Galway is an added advantage, broadening the scope of the programme. As a native of Co. Galway, this was an exciting prospect to me when I made the initial application.
